Silok [DONE] Empty
PostSubject: Silok [DONE]   Silok [DONE] I_icon_minitimeSat Oct 05 2013, 16:34

Name: Kthrils'ilo'kanopolis of Minor House Kthrils, goes by Silok

Age: 32

Gender: Male.

Race: Chiss.

Faction: The Galactic Republic

Rank: Agent

Appearance: Tall and well built, blue skinned and red eyed like all of his kind, with dyed, dark red hair which is slicked back and tied into a long ponytail. Has a neatly trimmed beard and mustache, trimmed into a goatee. Has a small, light scar down his right cheek from a training accident in his youth. Also has a spiral tatoo on his right pectoral from a night he can't quite remember on Coruscant, he just knows he walked into the Huffiot Cantina and the rest is a drunken blur. He wears a padded Tunic and jacket, over which he wears a black and red trimmed hooded cloak. He has Jedi styled robes, which he keeps for nostalgia's sake, also when he wants to convince the girl at the bar that he's wise, mysterious and rich.

Weaponry: DC-5 Heavy Blaster type, with a range of up to 100 meters maximum effective range, the pistol uses a mixture of gas and an energy pack in order to fire. He also wields a Dual-phase light-saber with a Damind crystal core. (Made after leaving the Jedi Order). The light-saber is not visually pleasing, having been constructed through much trial and error over the course of his exodus from the order from various machine parts before Silok was able to make an effective and stable base. It resembles a short metallic pipe section with various odds and ends protruding or tacked on, rather then the elegant finished designs the order can create through custom made saber sections. It is, however, durable, and Silok has yet to find a reason to replace it with a better designed saber.

Skills: As an aggressive wielder of the lightsaber, Silok has mastered both variations of form V of lightsaber combat, both Shien and Djem So. He was in the process of mastering Form VII, Juyo, before he decided to part ways with the Jedi order. The Siem fighting style has proven exceptionally useful in Silok's life since leaving the order, having got himself into more then one unfavourable altercation over 'misunderstandings' during the course of games, the perseverance style kept him safe from multiple blaster shots long enough to allow him to quickly counter and finish combat quickly enough to minimize the ruination of a fine night's drinking. He has found less reason to initiate combat using Djem So since leaving the order, except for a small number of altercations with unusually adept vibro-sword wielders the necessitated the special attention of the dueling technique. While finding training in Juyo, the seventh form of light-saber combat challenging and rewarding, he nonetheless did not finish it prior to his parting with the order. As such he has not had much practice controlling the ferocity form's emotionally charging potential and is unsure of his use of the form. He has only used it once since his leaving of the Jedi Order and it resulted in the death of his opponent. Silok found himself for a full day afterwards trying to calm himself down through meditation and was disturbed by his lack of control over the intense effect it had on him, as a result he is reluctant to use the form in combat again except for the most dire circumstances. Silok is an average shot with the blaster, primarily he carries it around for the show of it, counting on most peoples' assumption that Jedi do not wield blasters as a rule. This allows him to draw less attention to himself in the more unsavory cities in the galaxy. Although this may seem pointless given his very visible blue skin and near-human appearance causing him to stand out.

Force Pull: (*) Allows the user to pull objects from a distance towards themselves. More advanced users can pull larger objects from greater distance.
Prerequisite: Telekinesis

Force Push: (*) This power allowed the user to push objects away from themselves. More advanced users can push larger objects to a greater distance.
Prerequisite: Telekinesis

Precognition: (*) found in nearly all Force Sensitives it allowed the user to seemingly sense changes in the environment around them. For many this power was subconscious and always active.

Telekinesis: (*) A power that was natural for most Force sensitives. It allowed the user to pick up an item through the Force and move it as they saw fit. Stronger users could pick up larger objects from longer distances and hold them suspended for longer durations.

Mind Trick: (**) Also known as Force Persuasion. Mind trick is a power that allows the user to subtly change the targets thought process through audible suggestion. It should be noted that individuals of strong will can be resistant to this power, the same can be said of some species.

Force Speed: (**) Allows the user to push their body’s dexterity to its limits moving faster than would ordinarily be possible. With more training stronger users can enhance their speed to the point that their movements are mere blurs.
Prerequisite: Precognition

Comprehend Speech: (***) Allows the user to comprehend any language spoken by a sentient being. It does not, however, mean that the user is able to speak the language. They simply understand the general meaning of what is said.

Force Comprehension: (***) The ability to absorb massive amounts of information very rapidly by speeding up the user’s neural processes. The user must comprehend at least a basic knowledge of the topic their wishing to learn. It was also known to cause strong emotions so many Jedi avoided it.

Personality: Easygoing and friendly, Silok makes friends without trouble. He enjoys parties and general vices as much as the next man. While charming and considerate he possesses a keen mind, and notices every detail of a situation (unless drunk of course, but if he's drunk then that means he's generally confident the situation doesn't necessitate his constant attention) And is adept at getting a person's attention.

History: Silok was found by the order on the planet Nar Shaddaa in the Hutt home system of Y'Toub. He was the son of a rogue Chiss who got on the wrong side of the local gangs and was forced to live on the street. His altercations with other urchins drew attention to his force-sensitivity and was found by the Jedi order at age 6. While attentive in his studies, he was found to be more questioning then most. While initially this was interpreted as a keen desire to learn it soon became clear he often asked questions for the sake of asking questions, much to the chagrin of those he deliberately sought to annoy. Over time he studied the wisdom and the philosophy of the order and it was when he became a knight that serious divergences  started to develope between his own worldview and that of the order.

Silok, could not conscience the status the Jedi Order enjoyed in the Galaxy, and their unwillingness to initially join in the fight against the Mandalorians. While not the most morally consistent man himself, (understatement), he knew when the galaxy itself is in danger, you do something about it. Chafing that the order did not join until the last moments of the war, Silok took it upon himself to leave the order in peace and go his own path. Surrendering his light-saber symbolically.

However, having spent more then 30 years of his life training to be a Jedi, Silok would be damned if he would not have a lightsaber of his own. Gathering resources by judicious use of force powers to help him gain funds through gambling, such as allowing himself to lose time to time so people did not get suspicious, he managed to secure himself a small transport vessel to help him get off planet to obtain the materials he needed. (modified, single pilot patrol craft).

Overtime he indulged himself, often in Cantinas, other times schmoozing his way into higher class events. He was becoming bored and began challenging less weak minded opponents in card games and relying on his force powers less and less when doing so. This is how he came across a certain human named Hunt. In a small cantina on Correlia, Silok noticed Hunt was on a winning streak and decided to put a stop to that nonsense.

This proved to be a mistake.

Silok found himself in serious trouble, having lost substantially to Hunt while playing fairly, he was forced to bet his own ship and then he decided to finally use his force powers in a game again. After winning back his ship and only a bit of his money. Hunt approached Silok later, revealing his status with the Republic and offering Silok an opportunity he couldn't refuse.

The offer specified a position in the Republic Intelligence as an agent. The pay would be excellent and it offered Silok the chance to continue with his own lifestyle choices while giving him a purpose and a chance to do something exciting and dangerous with his life. Which he found most agreeable. Sensing he would be unlikely to find such a golden oppurtunity again, he decided to take Nathaniel Hunt up on his offer.

What color is this Lightsaber? I'm going to be looking for a reason as to why he doesn't have one from when he was actually a Jedi, too.

All these peeps being rouge Jedi... wrote:

I doubt you're going to stick out that much. Aliens are commonplace in Star Wars.

Can this guy do anything outside of a fight? Those abilities are teh coolist.

Seems pretty short. Expand on things. Give us some, "Why?" parts. Tell us his mindset when leaving the Order. All that stuff.

You made a major timeskip here. He goes from being a child to already being a Knight. Slow your roll.

I don't understand why this guy offers you a job for cheating at cards. I can't say for certain, but I think (hope) the Republic is more discerning with who they hire.

I am moving this as it had three votes, though some issues were not addressed. Additionally, the Force Powers will need to be reworked pending the outcome of the debate n their number.
